Notes button not working

Uninstalled Resco Notes and Pocket Dicatate after trialling them and set the side button to Notes but now when i press the record button on the side the notes application opens up but no recording takes place, there is no single/double beep to indicate recording has started/completed. How do i get this working again :?

There should be an option to set the side button to "Record", not "Notes". Setting it to "Notes" only launches the Notes application, but setting it to "Record" should give you the functionality that you're looking for.

:oops: Yes thats right, i realised that just after i submitted my message but when i went to settings/buttons to set the button assignment to Record it was not on the list?? How odd, can this be reinstalled ?

Which iPAQ do you own?

It's odd that the "Record" entry would be missing. Have you searched for other entries that are of a similar nature - e.g. Voice Recorder, or something along the lines of that?

OTOH, navigate your way to \Windows\AppButtons...

Is the Record.lnk file there?

Yes it is, but I am not sure how this helps me?

Copy the record.lnk file to Windows/Start menu/Programs. It should show up in the button drop-down.
