i have a hp ipaq 1945 with blue tooth.
i have a motorola v710 cell phone with blue tooh.
i have been successul in making the 2 devices communicate with each other.
i want to access internet from on the road. i have a travel job. how can i make this happen?
i understand i need a dial up connection, but don't know which to use. i have been told that net zero does not suppot pocket pc. so, who has been successful in this type of mobile connection? please share your info on how to with me.
thank you in advance and looking forward to your help.

eaa,
Curious as to what hoops you had to jump through to get the bluetooth communicating. Mine's being a PITA between the 710 and an hx4700.
What carrier are you using for the phone? If I get my BT working we'll compare notes.

didn't jump through any hoops. i went through telephone menu and selected recognize a device. seems to be working good. and vice versa.
i have verizon wireless and the ipaq 1945 MUST dial a number. i tried to make it communicate through the verizon web package and it could not bypass the dial up screen on ipaq.
my problem: i need an ISP that i can dial into that supports pocket PC. i understand that the big ones do not (aol, msn, earthlink, net zero). having trouble finding out who supports pocket PC explorer.

Got mine working, I'm sure that yours will work too. You just have to know the trick :-0)
With Verizon you're looking to get on their Express Network. You can reach that from your dialup by programming it as a *local* call (so that it doesn't try to dial 1+area code)
Set the phone number to #777
Set User Name to your
[email protected]
Set Password to: vzw
Domain Field blank
You should then be able to connect... Works for me! :-)
BTW, minutes apply against your cell minutes.

I have a bluetooth-paired V600 phone and Ipaq 2215. How do I go to get on the Internet with this combination? I'm with T-mobile.
Thanks in advance,
Lucas
