My contacts for work are large. I thought that I'd quit syncing those with the home computer. I went into AS's settings on my home computer and asked it not to sync those work contacts. I sync'd. Then I made a change in a contact on the home computer in that category and AS sync'd the change. I made a change in a contact on the PPC and it sync'd back to the desktop. What I'd like to do is remove the work contacts from the home computer and keep them on the work computer and my HP4155. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

There's no way to do what you want - the short answer to this question is that although the user-interface of ActiveSync makes you THINK this is possible, it's not. :( Using a Pocket PC on two computers will result in a lot of cross-population of data, even if you don't want it to happen.

Thanks Jason. I'm embarrassed I even asked. After all, we're talking about Activesync!:devilboy:

I was trying to do the same thing recently and found out the hard way that it doesn't work.

Is that what this option was meant for, and it's not working, or is it meant for something else that we've yet to discover?

I honestly have no idea - I think it's just poor UI design that confuses people into thinking that it will work. Microsoft has told me in the past that ActiveSync is meant ONLY for a one Pocket PC to one computer scenario. :?
