After my Treo90 developed a lovely yellow blob in the middle of the screen I decided to buy an IPAQ 3115.

So far I am loving it but miss the ability to write antwhere on the screen like I could with my Treo and reco echo.

Is there an app or hack that will let me do this with Windows Mobile 2003 SE ?

I will take that as a "No" :)

PBR,

Try using the built-in Transcriber function on your iPaq, (it's a built-in part of the PPC OS.) Transcriber is a handwriting recognition software, similar to Decuma. You actually write using normal print letters which are translated into text. Transcriber differs from the Palm programs Reco Echo, Graffiti Anywhere, and Newpen in that it doesn't use the Graffiti characters.

I actually had wondered the same thing as you when I first got a PPC; I had grown quite attached to "writing on the screen" with my Zire 71 and my Tungsten T3.

Good luck with your new PDA!

Thanks for the tip. It takes a little getting used to but I might stick with it !
