Got a x50v on the way and bought a 1 GB sandisk SD card for one slot for general music, photos, etc. for $65. Trying to decide and want some input on CF card slot - will be running Dell Bluetooth GPS maps of continental US.
Best deal on CF card memory seems to be $65 1GB Sandisk, 2GB seems to be $129, but I can get a 4 GB Hitachi Microdrive for $169.
Anybody know of any real negatives on storing map files on this-I realize there is a power draw and the Microdrives are not as G force resistant (I assume they will take a "normal" drop?)
As to map files (Dell says this is Navteq) do I need 4 GB or is 2 GB enough? :?:
