questions on installing programs

Seeing as there are many programs I want on my ppc, I was wondering if I can install them (and if it is a good idea) to my CF card?

I have a 1gig card and figured I can load it up.

I install most everything on my storage card.

Note that things like today screen apps almost always have to be in main memory. There are also some apps that don't behave nicely when you don't install them to main memory.

However, with most apps you shouldn't have any problems with installing them to a storage card.

Also, keep it in mind that to install your programs via ActiveSync, you can specify where you want to install it in. However, if you have CAB files designed to run on the PPC, it will only install to its default folder which is usually "Program Files" located on the main memory. In such cases, a good program to use is CabInstl. (http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/cabinstl.shtml)
