Wehrs said Microsoft will release Version 2.0 of its .Net Compact Framework (CF) before the end of the year. Version 2.0 will add a number of new features to improve the graphics capabilities of smart phones."</i><br /><br />I totally missed this last week; in addition to .NET CF discussion, there's also other details about features in their newer OSes. The article is pretty general and doesn't cover specific plans for upcoming Windows Mobile platforms, but has some interesting nuggets about what Microsoft is looking at. (Oh, and has anyone ever heard of Microsoft referred to as Big Red before?)

Perhaps the writer is trying to be witty and is referring to Big Red(mond)?

Perhaps the writer is trying to be witty and is referring to Big Red(mond)?

Or as opposed to Big Blue (IBM)
