lock down a pda

can someone point me in the right direction, ive tried searching but im coming back empty handed, a few weeks/months ago there was an article/thread about an application that allowed a pda to be locked down so that only one app would be run when the device was turned on.

ie no access to any of the standard functions, just a chose application


Anyone remeber it? or know of something similar?
