Does anyone know where I can download or get a free or charged theme creator for my VGA ASUS a730 PDA?

ThemeMaker SE. It's not free, but it's a full featured theme making program. VGA, both portrait and landscape, as well as QVGA.

Alternatively, ThemeBuilder2003 (http://www.ida.net/users/oe1k/programs/ThemeBuilder/)is free, yet it lacks a user-friendly UI like most of the other programs. You aren't just limited to 480x640 themes either. ;)

Hey does anyone know if it is possible to make my A730 PDA display w/a resolution that is between 320x240 and 640x480? Thanks

You may need something like dotPocket (http://www.dotpocket.com/) or Nyditot. (http://www.nyditot.com/Home.asp) They allow customisation of the resolution although I'm not sure if they're 100% compatible with WM2003SE.

Remember, it's not like a CRT that can display various resolutions well. To display an intermediate resolution, some pixels will be "doubled" but others won't. My guess is that you won't like the result. The same problem exists for LCDs for desktops.

Eventhough it is a VGA Pocket PC?

Yes. The LCD screens have fixed pixels, whether it be QVGA or VGA. So if you imagine a screen with a set number of pixels on each side, then scaling a resolution down will spread the image across a set of pixels. Parts of the displayed image will merge onto some pixels, while some others may not. Overall though, you may get a little distortion, which is why I think you may want to leave it at 640x480. Why are you considering scaling the resolution down? Aren't you effectively "decreasing" the clarity? If you're concerned about font sizes, you can always increase them so it's easier on the eyes, yet retain the clarity that is delivered by VGA.

Well, if I use the screen font size settings in the control panel, it doesn't resize the font size on every program (or at least for the ones I want). For example, Notes. When I am viewing my long list of notes, I would like to make my names longer and be able to see the whole length of names of the files/Notes. I was thinking it would be cool to be able to see everything in a specific size but not too big and not too small...

You can alter the font settings for the whole OS by using a utility called Tweaks2K2 .NET. Alternatively, if you feel comfortable editing the registry, you may find what you want here. (http://www.pc-counselor.com/How_to/#fontcaract)
