i am new to the pocketpc world and i dont really want to pay for my apps. could you suggest any site(s) where i could get good progs for free....
Is there alot out there i could get?

There's a website called Freeware PPC (http://www.freewareppc.com/). Pretty self-explanatory. :P

You will find that there are a lot of good free applications out there. However, some of the best applications aren't freeware, so if you see a piece of software out there that you like, I suggest giving the trial copy a go. If all goes well for you, I'm sure the small investment will pay off in the end.

Handango (http://www.handango.com/) and PocketGear (http://www.pocketgear.com/) are always two good places to go to if you're looking for software (freeware or not).

Also be careful because some of the freeware may or maynot cause your system to be unstable.

So choose your apps wisely.

I know I keep posting this... however... newbies do not seem to be finding it. Here is a list I compiled back in May... on it are lots of freeware... most I prefer over commercial software... have a look.

its not like i am new to the palmpowered world i have had 3 palm OS devices but i am thinking about getting an hp and wanted to know if there is any good sites out there for freeware for the pocketpc
