The "optional" GSM/GPRS sounds interesting, and it has a CF slot... but what I really want to know is why are WinCE-based PDA phones so popular in Korea, as opposed to Pocket PC Phones?

I have no idea why WinCE is so popular in Korea, but I'd guess it's because WinCE is more flexible from a design standpoint. I think MS still has a set of rules that have to be followed to be considered a PPC device.

Also, am I the only one that hopes this is just a prototype? I'm not sure if I tried I could design and uglier device. :? It looks like a "futuristic" design from about 1973. :wink:

Don't forget that under the hood, the Pocket PC OS is still based on Windows CE anyway. ;)

Well it says there in black-and-white:

Input/Output:
IrDA, RS232C, USB port, AC/DC Input jack, Stereo ear/mic. Set

Although, I wouldn't instantly assume that it is a dedicated USB port. Some sites have a tendency to mention a "USB port" in reference to your standard cradle-type synchronisation port. We'll probably find out more about this if it is brought into the market by a carrier. News on this device is a bit sketchy at best. :|

If you're expecting a dedicated USB port, I wouldn't be getting my hopes up now. ;)

the specs suck (REALLY suck), the comparison has a stupid collection of much older devices, the CF is CF1 and ON THE SIDE (!) and the device "pictures" are RENDERED not real

btw it seems to "have" (if the device existed) PocketPC OS all right, not only the WinCE.Net core (maybe PocketPC, Windows Powered and such, are not very popular names in Korea)

lol sometimes I think that even since the Pocket PC PDAs have existed for at least 5 years and even with all the games out there, PDAs were never made for gaming, lol never
