Does anyone know if I can use Outlook 2003 to keep all my contacts, ToDo's and so on with my PPC or do I have to use Outlook 2002 which came with the PC?

Sorry if this is a dumb question... but I ask because a one of my inlaws has a Pocket PC and tried installing Outlook 2003 and pretty much messed up his activesync and his outlook.

Thanks for any info.

I have no problem using Outlook 2003. Make sure you have the latest Activesync. You may need to set up a new partnership.

Yes, Outlook 2003 works just fine with Activesync. I've been using it for nearly a year now (or since whenever Office 2003 came out) without a hitch. You might want to install (or reinstall) the latest version of Activesync after you have installed Outlook 2003, just to make sure you get a smooth start.

Edit: when I started to reply, the other answer was not there.

I'm using Outlook 2003 without a problem.

Just do the smart thing and backup your existing personal data files on both your desktop and your PPC before you sync for the first time.

Just in case you accidently click the wrong button and combine/overwrite/erase something you didn't want to do. Takes a few minutes but it's always prudent.
