Is there any software out there that could replace outlook for syncing/backing up? I'm looking for something simple, possibly free, but easy to use and not microsoft based.

Thanks.

The problem you'll have is that if you go with something other than Outlook on your desktop, you'll also have to get different synching software, because Activesynch is designed to work only with Outlook.

Is there something about the Outlook that came with your Pocket PC that you don't like?

Do you just not like Microsoft products because, well, they're Microsoft products?

How about because they are the target for most malware?
That's a very good reason in my book.

Isn't that like throwing the baby out with the bathwater?

I rather like Outlook. It does everything I need it to do, and it does it pretty well, too. I run a secured home environment, so I'm not concerned in the least about hacks and other threats. Don't get me wrong; I'm not beholden to Microsoft. I just think it's pointless to avoid Microsoft programs because of the brand label. If it works, use it. If it doesn't look for alternatives.
