Has anyone had any difficulties using this phone (bluetooth mode) as a modem to connect? I want to make sure before I purchase a 4700. On the HP site it states that only the 63xx models work, but these are very old models of phones from Nokia.

Thank you in advance!

Hi, I'm an owner of a hx4700 and I currently have a nokia 6620 (which is the same as the 6600), I have had NO problems using the bluetooth between this two devices. I haven't tried out the modem dial-up feature yet. So far I have used it for file transfer (when I take pictures with the 6620 I can send it via bluetooth to the hx4700!), I have also used the "dial via bluetooth" from my contacts in the hx4700. I have had no problems with pairing the devices.

The hx4700 is able to discover the following services provided by the 6620 bluetooth: "dial-up Networking" and "OBEX file transfer". As I said I have successfully done file transfer between devices via bluetooth, but the dial-up I haven't tried out yet 'cause I don't have a dial-up internet account or anything like that.
If I find something out I'll let you know. Good Luck!

I also have a 4700 and a 6620, and have no problem. I have a Cingular $20 mediaworks plan and access internet on 4700 with GPRS over BT to 6620. I also transfer files (usually pics I took with 6620) between them.
