<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.trancreative.com/rkb.aspx' target='_blank'>http://www.trancreative.com/rkb.aspx</a><br /><br /></div><i>"Remote Keyboard is a program that connects PC keyboard and mouse to your Pocket PC over ActiveSync connection or TCP/IP network. It works as a Soft Input Panel (SIP), also called input method, along with Keyboard, Letter Recognizer or Transcriber in Pocket PC devices. Pocket PC Connector, one of the components, works on PC side to redirect keyboard and mouse inputs to Pocket PCs. Using PC keyboard and mouse to entry data to your Pocket PC has never been easier. Just switch on Remote Keyboard from the corner of the screen, run Pocket PC Connector in PC then you are in business. While using Remote Keyboard, clipboard data from PC will be sent to your Pocket PC in real time."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/parekh-20041024-TranCreativeRemoteKeyboard.gif" /><br /><br />I could see this being really useful for WiFi-enabled Pocket PCs in particular -- it'd make it faster to install applications and enter reg codes, for example. You can also telnet to the device once this program is running, and you can even use the mouse. :)

WOW! I just installed this beautiful (free) program. So far so good. It comes with documentation, but setup and use are both pretty straight forward. I just wish I had a cradle or something to prop my iPAQ on to make viewing easier.

Very cool program! :D Only problems I've had so far is hitting End prints a # at the end of the line instead of just to the end, and Shift+End selects the line correctly, but then deletes it and replaces it with a #. And sometimes the Home/End keys don't work correctly by themselves. Maybe that's an OS problem though.

Nice App.. although I am not sure its better then the freeware Remote Display Control that comes with microsofts PPC power tools since I dont need to change in and out of keyboard mode with that one, and the mouse is a little more "on". On the other hand, with this one I dont have to launch a CE app on my pda, just select the keyboard thingy when I need it.. its going to be nice for "quickee" entries.

Regards,

Artuk

It is nice to know I can use it without any desktop app at all and just telnet into the device.

These Transcreative guys are making some nice free apps

Magic button is a clean, wisbar clone that works great on my 4700.

Now this, well done.

This is a great program but I really hope that they revise Nice Start so it will run on my hx4700 (I bought it a while back). It won't run and I hate being without the Nice Start I had before with the program!

They've been updating it recently (http://www.trancreative.com/nicestart.aspx?page=update); they'll probably get a fix out soon.
