Hi, I have some problems with the ASUS Spacelink Wireless LAN CF Card WL-110, that I received yesterday. For some reason I can't get it to work/install correctly on my ipaq3850.
When I finish the installation of the drivers via activesync 3.7 everything goes well, the adapter appears in the 'Start\Settings\Connections\Network Adapters\' Then depending on which driver I used I get the message:

'Unable to connect to the Wireless NetCard. Is it inserted?'

This is a normal message after the activesync installation, which is done without the wifi card inserted. Then I insert the card and I have to to a soft boot. That's ok the ipaq boots up again and the network card led starts blinking indefinitely. No errors whatsoever. Then I try to access the config panel of my card. Which is located in 'Start\Settings\System\PRISM Settings' and what do I get again? Well I get the same message as in the beginning: :(

'Unable to connect to the Wireless NetCard. Is it inserted?'
======================================

I did some googleling to see if I could find some other people having the same problem, but no, I found one old post (in german) with a guy having the same problem. but no answer to be found.

My card uses the PRISM chipset so a lot of different drivers could possibly work, so far I tried the most insane combinations without any luck:  after the original ones didn't work:

-ASUS WL-110 driver on CD
-ASUS WL110 driver from ASUS support website
-Intersil PRISM driver ( ISL3PRDSUIT-EXE_WinCE300(2-0-9).zip )
-HP/Compaq WL-110 PCCard driver
-Linksys WPC11 driver for WinCE

I did a HARDRESET between trying each driver. The foreign drivers I installed via activesync, then popped in the Card and got the standard ppc2002 window that asks me for a driver for the card I then input the name of the driver (usually PRISMNDS.dll ) and boot. But no the bloody card still won't work, the led blinks and then stops with some drivers and when I fire up any of the working sniffers for ppc2002 I get the cursed message:

'Unable to connect to the Wireless NetCard. Is it inserted?' or a variant on this generated by the program I startup. Also I still can't access the setting panel of the network card itself, I can set the ip and that kind of stuff in 'Start\Settings\Connections\Network Adapters\' panel but not the CF specific settings.

Another footnote:
I upgraded the ipaq to the newest roms via the hp site:
-H3850 Pocket PC ROM Update ver1.20
-iPAQ H3800 Series Fix for Unrecognized Network Cards ver1.00
-iPAQ Pocket PC 2002 End User Update (EUU - Service Pack) ver4.00

To use the CF I use the Compaq CF Expansion pack. (the one without the extra battery and integrated flipcover.) Which works ok, I can read my Memory cards in it ok and My bluetooth CF card works fine in it also.

The big questions I have are
Is there anybody out there who uses the ASUS CF with an ipaq 38xx? Is there anybody who knows about this card not working on the ipaq38xx? Has anybody else had the same problems? And last but not least (except for swapping it or trying it in another ppc, which I can't right now) does anybody know anything else I could try? :devilboy:

Thanks
