I currently own a HP2200 and seriously considering also buying the Audiovox SMT5600.

Right now I sync my PDA with my laptop through a USB port.
At work I do the same thing but I use Intellisync because I only filter certain categories to my Work computer. However, I would have to buy another Pumatech product for the Smartphone. Plus I don't want to have to full around with multiple cables at work.

My question is about both your work process and home.

At home the easiest thing would be to buy a USB hub to get more USB ports.
This way I get continuous sync and I only have to grab and go.

But for work, if I don't have my Smartphone hooked up to the work computer, its data can become outdated during the day.

So, taking all this ( 8O ) into consideration, how do you do your thing?
When do you use your smartphone vs your pda?
etc 8O

thanks

I've ended up just using my Smartphone as a phone -- a very smart and elegant phone, but, in the end, a phone.

It's great as a GPRS modem, and it's been fun using it to listen to music sometimes (a very small amount of music, as I don't want to start buying yet another type of memory card).

I'm disappointed most of all with its Bluetooth capabilities. I can't browse the device from my Pocket PC. That's just stupid. File transfers? Nope. The only link I've been able to make between the devices is a serial connection, to use the phone as a modem. My old T610 was more compatible with the Pocket PC, which seems off.

As I said, it does its phone stuff very well, better than any mobile I've had. But if someone took my Pocket PC away and gave me this to use instead -- well, it'd be like having your child replaced by a cat.

I jused to have a PPC and a SmartPhone, but it was too much hazzle. Now I just carry my PPC Phone Edition around, and if I'm doing something active where it's not a good choice, I just stick with my old, but trusty Siemens ME45 phone.

I don't have a smartphone yet.

I am currently using an Axim X5 with GPRS CF card as my primary PDA, and a motorola V600. When I finally got the mpx220, I imagine that I will be using it mainly as a phone, and as a GPRS modem for my laptop. If I want to browse internet on my axim, I will do it via the GPRS CF card.
