Reader uses the .LIT format. The easiest way I've found to convert to that format is to use the Read-In-Microsoft-Reader (RMR) plugin for Word (http://www.microsoft.com/reader/developers/downloads/rmr.asp). Just about anything that Word can open can be converted.
