HI all
Has anyone used a ruggedized PPC? PocketPCMag has a rundown on this this month, but I would love actual users perspectives.
We are looking for one that has Wifi embedded given a choice, and it is pretty much going to be single tasking (that SPB Kiosk post was quite interesting!), so while trying not to be limiting, having oodles of memory (>64Mb) isn't really an issue. Battery life as with most PPCs could be an issue, but not a deal breaker.
I liked the look and mostly the built-in kybd from the Panasonic Toughbook-1, but with WAN GPRS access, the $1200 price tag would be a little steep for my company.
Has anyone used the ruggedized chassis on a normal PPC? How does the screen work?
Any info would be helpful!
