1. *.bik videos found on games. Is there an independent video player to play these games ? So I can play it without launching the game ?

2. *.3gp videos. Is there an application to convert *.mpg to *.3gp ? My two favourite video converters (tmpgenc and virtualdub) wont make 3gp.

Have you tried renaming the file extensions to something familiar such as .AVI or .MPG and seeing if it will run in Media Player?

Have a look at this:

I don't know how much help it will be and whether it will solve your problem.

And with regards to the 2nd question, I found several apps that can play 3gp on PC (such as quicktime 6.5, nexstreaming, etc.) but none that can convert avi/mpg to 3gp.

I wonder why. They say that 3gp is the new video standard for 3G mobile devices, but there is no application that can bridge this new format and the established format (avi/mpg).

Thanks again. How did you find that ? Google and Altavista showed nothing.

Now it is time to start ripping movies into the monstrous 5 MB memory of my V600 :)

Funnily enough. I used Google. :)

Although I knew about the Nokia Multimedia Converter from awhile ago, but still used Google to make sure.

I guess it just depends on what words you whack into the search field. ;)
