Head over to the Toshiba site (an English one, e.g. either the US, Australia, or UK if you want to be safe) and see if you can download a ROM update for the e330. It should be English and it should be able to be applied on your Pocket PC.

AFAIK, this can't be done. It is a requirement for ROM-updates to demand that they can only be installed on top of their own language. This is because technically ROMs of different languages require a different licence. Since the OS is an OEM version, the OS license is linked to the device. So once you bought a french pocketPC there is no legal way to change it.....

I remember some brave souls attempting something similar with the first iPAQ's. Unfortunately many became paperweights.
Additionally, as this process is not legal, information on how to do it won't be posted here. ;)

Jeff, just out of interest, were you referring to ROM updates of different languages for the same device, or the cross-over of ROMs in a bid to update devices with ROMs specified for other devices?

IIRC, they were attempting to change the ROM language. There was a time when the 3600's were in short supply so some folks went with a device that wasn't the right language for them and then had to flash it back. I don't remember any details, but recall that it was a high-risk endeavour.
