Hello, I just orded an extended battery for my 4155 from ebay and was wondering if anyone had any feedbacks on the type I have settled on:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64360&item=5724912278&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

It's by a company called Lion battery, and they offer a 2000 mAh extended battery, compared to HP's 1800 mAh.

I decided to get this model because every HP model I found online was actually a factory refurbished model, and while I'm fine on that when it comes to hardware, on batteries, I am not.

So does anyone have any positive feedback on this battery?

If any of you have an extended battery, does it basically double your wifi time? I'm getting about 1.5-2 hours of wifi usage with the slim battery, I'm shooting for 3-3.5 with the extended battery.

Thanks

It just arrived in the mail, and it's charging as I type this :)

Well, before I originally posted this thread, I failed to come across George's Thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33080) on the same brand of Extended Batteries.

There's nothing I can really add to what he's already stated, so i'll try to fashion some images together of the battery, new cover, attached, docked.

I have to say, I have some initial gripes, but they're extremely small, and almost indicative of any plastic product from taiwan/china, in that the replacement cover seems that it would crack under pressure, or a drop in comparison to the stock cover which seems to use a much thicker grade of plastic. The last gripe being that it's somewhat of a generic brand name, which is something I have to get over after years of only buying HP branded parts/accessories.

That said, the device is nearly done recharging, it's been in the cradle for almost an hour. Interestingly, the 4155's cradle has a plastic backing which is removable to allow room for docking with the extended battery, and I have to say, this is a big plus for me, because I was weary of what kind of wear opening and closing the case would create after doing it so many times a week.

More in a bit after I can put it through it's paces, and clean off my desk a bit for the pictures :P

What case are you using with this new battery?

Which do you mean?

PDA Case: Stock nylon one included.

Battery Case: The larger one supplied with my extended battery.

What I meant was "What case are you using to carry your PDA in when it has the extended battery on?" I wish that there was a leather flip case that worked well with the extended battery, but I haven't seen one.
