infra red pda to nokia 6100

hi

i cannot seem to send pictures in jpg from my pda to my nokia 6100 via infrared. I get "sending" then "failed" error message every time on my pda.

any suggestions?

I have tried shrinking to 128 x 128 pixels, file sizes 10k or less but still no success.

pda detects "nokia 6100" as the device on the other end of the connection, so i know the infrared ports on both devices are working fine.
