I'm in the market of a new Pocket PC, and I loved the formfactor of the 1940, which is what I would've picked up had this been about a year ago. I really know nothing about the new line, and I've seen some reviews, but I'm just looking for some straight opinions, how do they compare to the last line?

thanks,

The response is variable. The new devices have WM2003SE, while the hx4700 has VGA too. However, I have heard that some of the lower end devices of the new iPAQ range fall short performance-wise when compared with some devices in the last generation of iPAQs (e.g. h1940, h2210, h4350).

If you want a new device with the latest OS, by all means, the new iPAQ range is fine. But if you still like the form factor of the h1940, you can still scout around and find them. Some stores still sell them. None of the new iPAQ devices have as good a form factor as the h1940 in my opinion. But then again, don't just limit your options to HP. There are many other devices out there from a wide range of well-known manufacturers.
