I have noticed that there is a grid of very small red dots always visible on the display of my 4355. I see them at every angle except exactly 90 degrees to my eyes and sometimes even at that angle; they show up most prominently on screens with white backgrounds, but are visible even with color pictures on the screen and at any backlight setting.

I happened to be looking at the screen under sunlight while the PDA was off the other day and could see through the screen an underlying pattern of dots that is at the same locations as the red dots I'm always seeing when the PDA is on. Are these the "sensors" for the touchscreen? It's quite irritating, because one of the things I do most is read ebooks, and the red dots are maddeningly distracting. Is this normal, or does the PDA have a problem?

Well yes, the dots are the digitizer, which is what senses your stylus taps. I don't know about the redness of the dots, I've never seen or heard about that beofre, but I see the dots in sunlight usually. Otherwise they're pretty well hidden (I think my screen protector makes them dissappear a bit as well..) so I don't know are the digitizer dots red on the 4155? i have a 2215 so i couldnt check for you...

I noticed this on my 5550 a few days ago as well, only mine were white. I thought it was some funky refractory thing going on with the screen protector, but I guess maybe not.

3k+1!
