Think again. I wonder if the fact that he's using an iPAQ 3600/3700 series device means anything...<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/parekh-20041005-iPAQRobot.jpg" /><br /><br /><i>"I watched a lot of Japanese cartoons when I was a kid so I always wanted to make an android. I saw the Sony SDR-4 around 3 years ago and I knew that it is the time to go for my dream. I know Sony SDR-4 is right in functionality but wrong for pricing. I know that end user need a powerful but acceptable price android. I started with searching the android world. I found that wheel based robots are cheap but not fancy enough. So I decided to go for RC servo based android because it is about $3000 like the price of a new PC."</i>

Awesome. Equip it with a powerful AI, make it waterproof, teach it to wash car, do laundry, wash dishes and vacuum a house ...

Did he say $3000 = like the price of a new PC?

I won't be upgrading for a while.

Definitely a cool iPAQ 8) but a little out of my budget  . I guess I'll have to stay with my Lego Brick for a while longer :D .

Besides, in order to enjoy a hobby like that you have to be able to show off your stuff to fellow geeks doing the same nutty stuff. It's going to be hard to scrape together a user group with that kind of price tag. But it would be cool to try. I just happen to have an extra iPAQ 3700 laying around (running Linux at the moment) - It's a start  I think I'm getting hooked.
