Several companies are now shipping the Bluetooth-only version of this Pocket PC with a VGA screen. Both PROPortable and <a href="http://www.mobileplanet.com/private/pocketpcthoughts/product.asp?dept%5Fid=2621&amp;pf%5Fid=MP940544&amp;listing=1">MobilePlanet</a> [affiliate] have the A730 in stock and ready to ship. The price is $500. The MyPal A730w, a version of this model with built-in Wi-Fi, will be released in the next month or so. It will sell for $600."</i> <br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/logsdon_20041003_asusa730.gif" /> <br /><br />Ah, the ASUS A730. Many reviewers have sunk their pointy little teeth into this sweet device, but mere mortals such as ourselves have had to be content with looking at pretty pictures and dreaming of better days ahead. This is the Bluetooth-only model, but if you don't need WiFi, this might just be the VGA device for you. Anyone placing orders yet?

$500 for only Bluetooth? $600 for WiFi? And it doesn't even come with the 624MHz X-Scale? Gimme a break

Thank goodness for Dell with their upcoming Axim X50 and the lack of a digital camera (which are being banned in a number of places around here).

I would've jumped on the wifi version immediately. With Dell's announcement (and their great price), I'm going to hold off a bit....

By me, price is absolutely laughable - and for you guys in the States even more, considering current growing WiFi widespread in your country.

And, to spice things, the unit, it seems, IS GLITCHY even in it's final production state. It's already available for sale here in Moscow, and some
people who bought it, now are complaining about it's lockups.

And, it seems (not my experience), the screen has bad viewing angles.

About the glitches I would guess its W2kSE fault, I get a lot of hang-up's here with my e805.
