I have the trial version of decuma japanese but I cant figure out how to install it. When you unzip it you get a setup file and a folder with a bunch of super small files. I click on the setup.exe and it just brings me to the activesync add/remove program page. Can anyone download the trial and see if they can help? That sounds like how it's supposed to work, unless I'm missing something. The program is installed through ActiveSync, so just cradle your Pocket PC so ActiveSync is connected, then click "Setup", follow the instructions, and you should be good to go!

That is were I am stuck. I dont get any instructions. I click the setup.exe and it brings me to the liscense agreement and I click accept. It looks like it links through activsync but it doesnt install it just shows me the programs already installed. I dont know what else to do. I have installed over 30 programs on my ppc and have never had any problems. thanks for replying.

What version of ActiveSync are you running, and are you running a firewall that disables ActiveSync's access in any way?

Im running version 3.7 I dont know what kind of firewall I would have. I dont quite know what a firewall is but I dont think there would be anything like that set up on my computer.

Is the file you downloaded an .exe or a .zip file? If it's a zip file, you may want to see if the installation package contains a .cab file. If so, you can try copying the file to your PPC and running it via File Explorer.
You may also want to try Decuma's Tech Support.

Yea well thanks for the help Ill just contact their tech support. I just didnt want to wait for a respons from them. It is a .zip file and I got a folder full of .cab files but they are all single 1kb files. I tried copying them onto my ppc but that didnt work either. thanks forthe help.

Maybe the program is being extracted, but not installed. Try checking the ActiveSync directory to see if a folder containing the cab file is shown. If it is, you can manually move it over to your PPC and run it. I've had to do this before my self.
If you run the .exe without the PPC in its cradle, it will load to the ActiveSync directory until the next time you connect. Before connecting, you can go move the .cab files out and manually move it over to the PDA. Be advised that most programs add multiple cab files for different processors. You will have to find the one that works on your device. That's assuming that it's even listed in ActiveSync.
