There are several threads out there that discuss the usefulness of USB-Host (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=32786&start=30) and hard (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31869) drives (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=32759&highlight=) in PPCs. Many people (including myself) want these features so they can have an assortment of mp3 files on their PPC and not have to carry around a dedicated MP3-player.

Does anyone know of a sync software that can delete songs off of my CF card and load it up with random new ones from a Music directory on my PC? It could even be a PC-only program, because at least I could plug my CF card in a card-reader, specify the drive letter of the CF, and move files that way (would be a lot faster than ActiveSync too!)

Bonus points for features like ActiveSync integration, ability to specify the number of songs and/or MB to sync, and support for other audio formats like wma and ogg.

What do you guys think of the Sync capabilities found in Windows Media Player 10 for Windows XP. I set mine up to sync 1 CD's worth of audio but I find the configuration to be lacking. I wish it had more of the advanced features that I metioned in my previous post.

You can do away with it. WMP10 certainly offers an "upgrade" from WMP9 with the synchronisation abilities - however, it's simple at best, and does require a bit of configuring to get it to work the way you want. However, you can always generate random playlists and make WMP10 sync with your CF card. So while it is an arduous task, you can get it to do what you want...at the end of the day. ;)
