Hello,
I must learn if SAN DISK's SD Wireless Card is compatible with IPAQ 3970 without any extra device? Need to learn this urgently ! Thanks in advance!

iPAQs in the 3900 series all feature compatibility with SDIO devices. So in short, yes, the card would be compatible.

Happy to help. For those that want to know whether their device will work with the Sandisk SDIO Wi-Fi card, there's the compatibility chart available here (http://www.sandisk.com/pdf/retail/wi-fi-sd-compatibility.pdf).

BiGO, despite the fact that the chart I provided a link for does not list the 3970, I can tell you now that it IS compatible with it, although you will need to upgrade your ROM which you can get from the HP website.

Make sure you follow their directions and read all there fine print about how to install a ROM upgrade properly.

One wrong move and you may stuff up your device. :|

I don't think so. I have heard only the ROM upgrade is needed.

I downloaded the ROM Update 2.10 and saw that my 3970 already has that 2.10 version. So did not updated it. But I installed the windows mobile 2003. Tomorrow I will have the San Disk SD WiFi Card. I ll post my questions to you if I can not succeed to connect wireless. :lol:

Just to let you know.... I pluged the SD Wifi Card and played. :D
It was easier than I thought especially after reading all the problems of SD Wifi Card at various forums. But it works great. At least did so until now.. :roll:

Well the wi-fi works almost perfect. But I have a small problem. I can not see the 256 mb memory at my ipaq. There should be a file called ''Storage File'' but it is not there. How can I use this 256 mb memory :? What can be the reason that Ipaq does not see the memory? hmm :roll:
