QUESTION 1:

WM2003SE appears to have a new "feature". When browsing ppcthoughts (and some other sites) with PIE my hx4700, I get an annoying pop-up:

"Press ok to continue loading the page"

I searched here, at brighthand, and at google. I found a few pages about it, but nothing on how to get rid of it. Anyone know? (other than using a different browser) More info:

QUESTION 2:

Is there a registry key to control image-scaling in PIE? (or another way to disable this?) I hate how it enlarges images.

I do not know of a registry hack to do this, but I can suggest the SE_VGA hack (http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=14679), which will cause PIE to render everything natively.

(And, yes, I hate it too. I and others have complained to Microsoft about it. No idea what they'll do long-term though.)

I should've mentioned that I already have SE_VGA but it makes everything else too damn small (even after using RegKing and Tweaks2k2 to increase fonts).

Yeah, I end up switching into SE_VGA only to use PIE and one or two other programs.

An alternative would be to see if NetFront is smarter about image sizing, although it's a commercial solution.

That pop up's are really annoying. I also like to know how to get rid of them.
