Hi everyone,
I just joined the site b/c I'm trying to learn about my new Ipaq 2215 which is en route and I should have by Friday. I purchased a new one because my old school 3800 died, the battery won't hold charge anymore.
I know all the "features" and stuff from reading reviews prior to buying, but I'm interested in knowing the kind of info I could only learn from other users. So what do I need to know? Thanks

Call tech support and get a new set of side grips every month whether you need them or not. After your warranty is up they charge $24.95 per set.

Welcome to PPCThoughts! This place rules. B)
Enjoy your 2215, it's a great PDA. As for the grips. if you use the PDA in a flip case, you should be fine. If you use a slip case (like is included), you will run into trouble. A better alternative to replacing the stock grips with more stock grips is a bad idea... check out pocketpctechs.com for their aluminum grips :)
Enjoy, and again Welcome!

What about the Aluminum cases that I've seen, innov something or other?
Are the PocketPC techs side grips solid? I think chrome would be pretty sweet looking

HOwdy and welcome! Glad to hear you are upgrading your ppc:)
He is right, take advantage of getting new side grips....that is assuming you will run into that problem on yours.
Keep in mind to get a good leather case for it to protect it and to lessen the necessity of new grips.

The aluminum cases are nice and since you don't need to slide the iPaq in and out to use it, you'll be fine. The Innopocket is also less tight than the included case so less wear on the grips.
As for the grips, YES they're solid. I like the looks of the red or blue ones, very flashy. The blue complements the blue HP logo on the device quite nicely (from what I can see in pics). :)
