h6365 area code auto format (need to disable)

I'm using the phone in Hong Kong. Hong Kong's phone # has 8 digits. So, when I dial, I always see:
(123)456-78

It is so annoying, and sometimes very confusing.

Is there a way to disable this auto formatting (area code) feature?

Oh, it is a h6365. My company bought it from Singapore last week.

Someone (dakl2000 from ipaqhq) told me:
"use 'English (Australia)' in the Regional Settings under Settings/System folder and it works fine."

That works!!

Now, something else bugs me ... "English (Australia)". Is it possible to have "English (Singapore)" or "English (Hong Kong)" or "English (Generic)"?

Anyways, I am satisfied with pretending Ausie for now.
