I've got a iPAQ 3870 and am trying to use a photo for my "Today" wallpaper. I downloaded the picture to the device and then "fit the picture to window" which looked great. When I then set it as the default wallpaper, I get just a corner of the picture as it's using a much bigger version of the picture. How can I get the picture to fit properly? Is this the correct forum to post this on? I'm new to this forum and appreciate any help. Aj

Check out the Theme Developer's Guide (http://www.pocketthemes.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=5) at PocketThemes.com (http://www.pocketthemes.com). This should help you get started!

You want to re-size the picture so that it's 320 x 240 resolution. You may need to crop it to make it fit on the device, but this all should be done on your desktop PC prior to moving the image over to the Pocket PC. You can also check out a tool such as Imageer from Spb Software House (www.spbsoftwarehouse.com)

In actuality, you will always get the top 26 and bottom 26 pixels hidden due to the presence of the top and bottom bars of the Pocket PC OS. That is why the picture should actually be 240 x 268, although a 240 x 320 is also fine as the OS will accomodate for the extra pixels, and these will be hidden anyway, so either way, you still get the same effect.
