I recently upgraded my 3975 to WM2003. I must say I like it a lot, but my biggest complaint is that there is no way to chose "power" level for the Bluetooth radio, as in 2002. I liked this two fold; one, it seemed to conserve my battery life, and two, it was less likely some one would detect it, even with it hidden. Any help on this matter would greatly appreciated.

I must admit, I don't recall my 3875 or 3975 having the ability to adjust the power of the BT radio, but it has been over a year since upgrading. had it always been like that or did a later ROM upgrade give that ability?

It was always there. It was a set of Radio Buttons. On the first tab of the setup for Bluetooth. They had Low, Medium and High as options.

hmmm, this is something I never knew about. Obviously a very proprietary setting because you do not have that choice in any of the WM2003 settings. My wife's 2215 does not have it. But now I do find this interesting, because I can connect to my computer anywhere in the house and she has to stay pretty close. I am guessing my radio is set to high by default and her's might be set to a lower setting. I have no problems with battery life though.

It's not that my battery life is low, it's just that I was able to get more out of it before.
I have tried looking for a third party utility, but found nothing.

the reason the BT options are the way they are is so that it would unify the devices a little better....so that BT on one device would have the same functionality as BT on another. I like the stremlined drivers myself, as they are part of the OS now and not a add-on hp driver.
