Old iPaq 3670. I bought it used and have used it for a while running a program called Anywhere Map for airplane navigation and now it will not connect to the computer.
I also need the iPaq software so I can use the calendar and address book. Right now it is NOT communicating with my desktop and I can not figure out how to get it connected.
I tried reboot and even a hard reset but the PC will not recognize the device. It is connected to a USB port and I have tried several other ports.
I don't have a clue about how to fix it!

Are you trying to connect via ActiveSync?

Yes,
Active Sync is what I used in the past but now the PC will not recognize the iPaq

Nothing happens when you drop it in the cradle? Are you using a USB cradle or a serial cradle?

Try to reinstall Activesync, making sure you grab the latest version (3.7.1) from Microsoft.
And, make sure the cradle/cable is working okay. On a device with that many years, the cable might be faulty.

Or the connector on the iPaq. I've had one of those fail.

I have tried all those steps but nothing seems to work!
