I'm a huge pocketpc fan, and a huge nextel fan. I've been a nextel subscriber for over 4 months now and love the service + two-waying. One problem is that Nextel does not offer a pocketpc compatible phone - which really sucks. They do offer the blackberry, but i'm not a big fan of the blackberry os/devices. I do know nextel offers data cables you can use to connect a pocketpc to a nextel web enabled phone, however this kind of defeats the purpose of consolidating two devices (phone + ppc) into one device. For me carrying around a bulky nextel phone + a bulky ppc would be bothersome. Basically my question is.... Has anyone heard plans of Nextel adopting any pocketpc phones? Any rumors/ANYTHING? I'm almost at the point of dropping nextel - but I can't bring myself to do it.

It's not likely to happen. Nextel uses iDEN, a wireless standard completely seperate from the standard GSM in most PPC phones, and the CDMA used by Verizon and Sprint. Hence, any Pocket PC phone built with iDEN would be forever limited to Nextel's network alone, and that almost certainly isn't a big enough market to make it worthwhile. Sorry.
