Still doesn't support XDA 2 though. There is one that does, so it is possible. Nice price though, the one that does cost $25 :(

What is it about the XDA II that is unique? Something about the IR that's used?

Who knows, but it has such a nice remote type shape, its a real pity it does not work with most apps. Search xda-developers.com for many anguished stories from people who were looking for the right app, and also as many people asking them why they want a $800 TV remote control :) .

I really like the Pocket PC remote controls that allow you to record macros. That way, with one touch of a button you can turn on your TV, turn on your DVD player, set the surround sound the way you like and select an initial volume setting.

But the best part is that, even though my INCONSIDERATE family members insist on misplacing and losing my TV remote controls, they can never get their hands on my Pocket PC!!!

Has anyone tried this on an iPaq 5550? Does the built-in IR work sufficiently with Vito's IR engine, or is a headphone jack IR extender suggested?

Hehe...you do realise that in order for you to get it to work, you'd need to be standing pretty much next to your TV for it to work, in which case it would probably be quicker to use your fingers to press the controls on the TV?
