Something that will let you moove items from a card to the main memory or back again???
For example, recently I crashed my PPC. The programs on teh SD card were still there and I can get to them from the file manager, but the only way I know to establish a new shortcut for the menu is to re-install. There has to be a program that will reinstall the shortcut to the menu system. I just don't know what it is yet.
Any help would be gratly appreciated! :D

Are you talking about having shortcuts on the PPC programs page?
If so, you can do this through an ActiveSync connection and browse your PPC device from your PC. Find the .EXE file on the SD, copy it, navigate your way to the \Windows\Start Menu\Programs, right click on an empty space, and there should be an option for you to paste a shortcut.
I don't know if your programs will still work though. Most programs install entries into the registry, and if you had to hard reset your device, those entries will no longer be there, and some programs may still be non-functional.

No...I mean, some of the programs on my SD card I can run right now, but there not at the START-PROGRAMS menu. I have to go to file explorer and find the file to launch it. Do I have to reinstall to get it back on the menu, or is there a utility that'll do this for me?

I use Resco File Explorer that came with my 4155. It allows you to tap and hold on the file and then "sent to" programs as a shortcut. If it didn't come with your system, you can get it from Handango or Palmgear. Very nice program.

I use Total Commander (a freeware dual window Explorer type file manager) to copy the exe, and then paste a shortcut in the Program shortcuts folder.
I think you can also do this through the ActiveSync Explorer from your desktop PC.

The content within the Start-Programs menu are merely shortcuts anyway. If they do not appear, just follow the steps I listed, or use some PPC-based software to restore the shortcut in the \Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder.

To create short cuts you wont need any special programs. Use the built in file explorer and go to the program you want, copy it, go back to windows/start/program and 'paste shortcut' there. Then rename it. I wonder why nobody knows about this feature. People are always complaining about having to use ActiveSync to create shortcuts but its right there in File Explorer.
But I wish there is a PalmOS kind of launcher for PPC. PalmOS launchers always cache the icons into the main memory so even if you soft reset your device, the icons wont have to be refreshed which can take a long time on PPC launcher due to some developers making their executables a big 3-5Mb file.

Actually, I did neglect to say that earlier. I always forget that you can do it on the Pocket PC as well.

Actually most programs do work without the registry. 80% of my programs such as Snails, Anthelion, Darxide, MSRW, iSilo, Metro, Skype, RepliGo etc do not need to be reinstalled after hard reset. I just create a shortcut from my SD card on my refreshed PDA or new device and it works. Some I need to re-enter the serial number but thats all.
Apps that do need to be reinstalled are such as Resco Explorer, Hexacto games etc

I don't like running games off the SD card on PPC at all!!!!
Somtimes I get crashes whilst playing games if the phone rings on my XDA II, now if I soft reset all is good, except if I am playing a game off the SD card, in this case 9 out of 10 times the SD card is corrupted and I have to restore my backup of it, a real pain...
I prefer the way zlauncher handles running programs off the SD card than the way PPC does it, zlauncher (or any palm launcher) will actually copy the program into main memory and play from there, and not run off the SD card which is risky IMHO
