Is there a program that will remove (almost) duplicate entries? I messed up my Outlook and accidently have duplicate entries of most of my tasks. i saw 'almost' duplicate because the one set is high priority and the other is low.

There is the LBE Toolbox for MS OutLook (http://www.outlook4team.com/prredirect.asp?hp=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Elbetoolbox%2Ecom%2Findex%2Ehtm&pi=134&pr_b=0) which you may try out for FREE. To purchase it costs $27! This should work fine for a one time shot but if you need to do this regularly then I personally would write a script to do the job. I am a very active AWK user which does the job very well for such tasks. All you have to do is EXPORT your contact list to a CSV Windows contacts file, PROCESS the data using an AWK script that you need to write to do what you want it to, DELETE all your contacts, and then IMPORT the processed CSV Windows contacts file.

i've tried downloading two different programs like that one, and both of them won't work. I wonder if something is screwed up with my Outlook. It says "Setup TV(?) Error number 48: Error in loading DLL Context: Set olApp=CreateObject ("outlook. Application") any idea why it might be doing this? or are there any programs like this the just run on the Pocket PC itself?

I use Pocket Mechanic Pro. It has a lot of extra tool too. You might look it up.

I downloaded the 30 day demo version of Pocket Mechanic Pro. Is that a working demo though? It found the duplicates....i told it to delete them. But then it didn't actually delete them.....

To delete the Outlook duplicates/dangling records just check the items you wish to delete (or use the context menu to select all of them) then delete them using the context menu again. Tap and hold in the list using the stylus to bring the context menu.

Make sure to get the most recent version of the application from http://www.wizcode.com (we just released v2.82).

You could always use the old favorite ODR (Outlook Duplicates Remover) - It's free...

And it works very well, even if it uses sheer brute force to search for dups. I use it in conjunction with ClickYes Express (http://www.contextmagic.com/express-clickyes/) (it's freeware) to avoid having to click through the security warnings every 10 minutes.
