I learned today that my e750 headphone jack is actually some kind of fancy headphone AND microphone jack. It accepts a 4-conductor 3.5mm plug.

Now if I can capture fairly decent line level audio on my PPC that opens up some neat possibilities. Not the least of which would be jacking in my guitar and using the PPC as a real time audio effects machine (http://coyoteflux.nl/pocketmc.htm).

So I'm think about getting one of these.
Hosa 3 Ft Audio/Video Camcorder Cable (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5715013651&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT)

I'd probably end up hacking off those RCA plugs and soldering on some jacks that would be more common for my particular application.

My question is... can you see any reason why it wouldn't work?
