If possible, can someone give information on where I can obtain the companion software for this unit, windows mobile 2003 premium addition and more importantly, a ac'dc power plug adapter or a third party one?

You should find software and manuals on www.hp.com in their downloads section. You will most likely need to have the CDs sent to you, since I haven't found the full CD contents posted as downloadable files in the past. They will charge you for shipping.

You can also find parts on the HP site. I believe that Belkin puts out a power pack for your device as well, and you might find that available locally. You can go to their web site to find their part number.
