HP HX4700 for sale!?

Thanks theoak. So did you find any retailers selling. All I've been getting is "It's coming out the beggining of October" from the online retailers; of course this was yesterday and if they didn't say October it was "We have no idea."
My thought is that no one knows for sure.

I didn't check other retailers unfortunately. My intent for the post was to make others aware (if they were not already) and to keep their eyes open accordingly.

You realize that it's just a generic page, that lists HP resellers, not really places that sell the 470x series, right?

Of course this is a generic page. With that being said however, that does not diminish necesarily the possibilities of it being out there.

Asked my dealer here in Belgium. 4700 will be delivered sept 15 to HP Belgium and is then immediately available to dealers.

Me, I'm still waiting to see if it will have decent drivers so I can play Betaplayer DIVX at full VGA res with decent framerates....

Apparently the Tosh can do it, due to optimisations for the ATI chip. 4700 has this chip too, only will it be properly supported?

Ya I'm still debating wether to preorder or not. Tempting, but with the Dell X50 on the way it's a tough call.
The odd thing about the 4705 is the size. I'm not sure I'm to keen on it's girth.

For me, I don't know if the size will even be a problem. It is big, but since it has the magnesium case and a flip cover (even if it's kinda cheap), I don't plan on using a case with it, if I got it (haven't decided yet). With the flip case, it'd actually be considerably thinner than my 2215 with its slip case, and not that much heavier.

That being said, this is just speculation.. I still haven't seen it in person yet...
