Question?

Why doesn't HP change there PDA line identity back to Jornada?

They have gone almost wholly back to the Jornada design, with the exception of a few software and hardware elements (& the 6315 resembles the 2210). Why not? When I glance at them, Jornada comes to mind. iPAQ not really. Jornada, it fits the forthcoming PDA’s! :?: :?

Probably because the ipaq name is more well-known.

Until they build one with a flip cover it would be fraud to call it a Jornada. :?

I believe that the 4700 does have a flip cover...
It does, although that flip cover is more akin to the previous iPAQ flip covers (i.e., the ones bundled with the 38/39/54/55xx iPAQs) -- they're "side flips", as opposed to the "top flips" of the Jornadas.

That said, Kati's hit the nail on the head. The sad irony is that the term iPAQ was originally part of the "paQ" Compaq branding, and "HP iPAQ" really doesn't sound at all appealing. :|
