Program list mismatch

This is the most recent occurrence of a puzzle I've still not solved. A program is installed on my PPC, yet it doesn't appear in the list under Remove Programs, or in ActiveSync>Tools>Add/Remove Programs. This example I've just noticed (there may be others) is Acrobat Reader 1.0. I can see the folder and files with Resco Explorer. I can run the program and open PDF files.

What can cause this, and how can I get the lists corrected please?

I've experienced this a couple of times - usually when I've installed the .exe manually and run the app by finding and clicking the .exe. Don't know if this applies to your situation.

Thanks Lex. That could well be what I did, ages ago shortly after entering the PPC arena. I may leave it as it is, although I've now downloaded the 8.36 MB acrobatreader-ppc2002.exe as I could find no trace of it on my PC. BTW, any idea why it's so large? On my PPC, the existing files under \Acrobat 1.0\Reader only amount to about 3.2 MB.
