What's better: 1x512 or 2x256?

I'm looking at expanding to 512mb of storage for my 4150, but I'm not sure if it's better to get 2x256mb sd cards or 1x512mb sd card by itself. The reason I ask is because I can get 2x256mb cards cheaper than I can get 1x512mb.

Are there any immediate advantages or disadvantages of going either way?

The topic title should be changed from "What's better: 2x512 or 1x256?" to "What's better: 1x512 or 2x256?" :wink:

I like 1x512. Switching two SD cards is pain, and sometimes leaves system unstable. I make it a habit to soft reset whenever I switch cards.

Definately Ix 512 in my opinion. Much easier to not have to switch between cards.

Personally I just have one 256 and that is fine for me,

You say you are expanding the storage. From what? Just the internal memory, or do you have an SD already? I'd say just go with the biggest you can afford. Not having to switch cards makes up for the bit of extra cost.

you should buy a single card instead of two, because if you buy two cards, how will you manage the applicatons installed in the storage card? i mean you wont be able to use them if you switch the cards often

Switching cards is a major hassle. These days, in the market, the price difference between 1 x 512MB and 2 x 256MB is only a few dollars, and in my opinion, is a small price to pay for ease of use. Go for the 512MB. 8)

I agree with everybody else--one 512MB card. I used to have all my music on one 256MB card and all my games on another 256MB card. That was all well and good until I wanted to listen to music while playing a game. I got tired of switching cards all the time and bought a 1GB card. Now I can blissfully listen to my music and play games at the same time.

Ok, seems like you're all in agreement about 512mb being better. I'll go with the popular chice then. Thanks for the help :)
