If so, here's an interesting looking application that can help: <a href="http://www.handango.com/brainstore/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&productId=130348">Direct Assist</a>.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/adrian/directassist.gif" /><br /><br /><i>"Direct Assist® is a straightforward, search tool that allows you to access multiple third party web based directories from around the world via your Windows Mobile powered device (Pocket PC or Smartphone). While the Direct Assist® software currently covers USA and Australia, it will shortly expand to cover new third party web based directories in countries such as Germany, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia."</i><br /><br />So, from what I can tell, this software simply helps you find a number by providing access to multiple online phone directories at once, supposedly increasing the likelihood of finding the correct number. Makes sense to me, but I've never tried it. There's a <a href="http://www.handango.com/brainstore/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&productId=130348">free demo available</a>, but before I plunk down my $19.95 I'll want to test it pretty thoroughly.

Now this I have to try! I am always looking for numbers back home in Oz and this would be the perfect tool for the connected PPC user.

I will have to download the trial and give it a run. I will, of course, report back....

Has anyone contacted this company, yet, through email. I purchased this software this morning, and I'm waiting for my software key. The problem is that the email addresses they provide from their site do not work for me...every email is undeliverable!

Terrible, terrible planning by this company for American customers. I'll probably have to contest the purchase through my credit card company since Direct Assist doesn't believe in sending you a software key after a purchase, or provide you some way to contact them beyond calling Australia.

If the program has a feature to download and save ... It will be a very good tools for those telemarketers.

OK, I must take back the negative things I wrote in the above message. The developer is first class all the way. After not getting through to them through email, I finally left a voicemail for them. The GM of the company followed up with me personally with a huge apology and a software key. Seems they had problems with their system today, and that caused the problems I experienced.

Good people, great company. BTW, I asked him about a Save to Contactsoption, and he stated that they can't legally do that for the public version. Copywrite infringment; you can't take other database's info and copy to your own.

I have to say that at first I was hesitant to purchase this software with "more countries on the way", but I took a chance and the result is that I am ecstatic over this product. It's so easy to find what I'm looking for and I can search business as well as residential. The country updates are automatic and there are "more countries on the way" :D Bloody brilliant!

anyone know if they will ever support the "dial" feature to a bluetooth paired cell phone for those of us who don't have onboard phone capabilities?

ok got 2 answers from the developers - first - they are not planning to support dialing to a bluetooth cell, second - they ARE (within a few weeks) planning to add a couple of new features: the ability to save a found listing to your contacts database, and saving the last 10 or so listings in a cache w/i the program... good news that will really help make this worth the expense (to me :)
