I recently bought my first Napster song, and now would like to send it to my Pocket PC. Obviously my iPaq isn't recognized in the Napster program, and they say to use the standalone WMP. I have WMP 10 btw.

I would like to store the song on my 128 MB SD card, as I do with all of the music I like well enough to carry around. ;) When I try to transfer the song, it immediately stops and says "Error (1 Items): Windows Media Player has encountered an unknown error." Well great, that tells me a lot. :?

Anyway, I also tried transfering it to my Pocket PC's memory instead of the Storage Card. That worked. Played fine on my Pocket PC. So I copied it to my storage card. Then when I played it I get the error "The license for this file cannot be found. Use Windows Media Player on your PC to copy the file to your device again."

Argh! Before this I basically liked DRM. When designed well, it made sure people followed the rules that they had already agreed to.

Any ideas? I really don't have the space available on my Pocket PC to store a 3.41 MB song. Does anyone use Napster and put songs on their Pocket PCs successfully?

I have an explanation coming up for you tomorrow afternoon - you won't like it. :(

Another, 'you don't want to hear this' solution is to burn an Audio CD with your downloads ( I do this anyway to hedge against a drive crash or corruption) and re-rip it. Thanks so much to all you music thiefs and traders that have made this neccessary. :?

I mean, I can send it to my iPaq's memory fine, but it won't transfer to my SD card.
