It seems that HP and apple have forged a relationship when it comes to producing Ipods.

"The product is a replica of Apple's latest models of the popular white 20-gigabyte and 40-gigabyte iPods - but carries the HP brand instead."

I don't understand why one would be inclined to by an HP Ipod rather than just buying an ipod. The units are identical, both physically and $$ wise, the only differnece is HP's has the HP logo on it... big deal.

Now an Ipaq Ipod might be something interesting.... :?

There's a long discussion on Digital Media Thoughts already:

The upshot is that those that believe it'll sell well believe HP's distribution might will have an effect, since the iPod will now be available in more retail stores. I personally do believe, though, that people will still continue to prefer the Apple-only version. We'll see.
