Of all the prices I've seen, that's the lowest right now. 8) While it's not the newest Pocket PC unit, many people still love theirs, and it has a CF slot and Bluetooth. [Affiliate]

I definitely consider myself one of the people who loves theirs. It's easily the best PPC I've owned, and I've owned a LOT of them...

Ok if it drops another $50-60 , I'm all over it. Reason being..well the philips pronto is about $299. This thing has consumer IR and a whole lot of features , then just being a audio/video remote.

I can get the same Pronto type functionality and some more with the 2215 :)

Mwa haha, my $253.11 (thats including tax and shipping) for my refurb is STILL the best I've seen.

(Yes, I know this is a new one)

you can always order the 2215 (new) for $229.95:

http://www.mpsuperstore.com/cgi-bin/..%5Ccomputer%5Cdiscr57459.htm

Notice I say you can order it for that price but probably not get it at that price though. One person who ordered from there said they wouldn't honor that price

I had the PPCTechs 128mb upgrade (64/64). If it had integrated WiFi, the SE OS... it would still be the best general purpose PDA. Add VGA on the existing size screen too, and it would be near perfect!

You can also get the 4155 for $329.99 after rebate:

As JonnoB said, still no SE upgrade :grumble: ...
Very good unit though. I've been very happy with mine.

I've had my 2215 for over a year now and it is the best design release so far. The 5500 is being advertised on MobilePlanet but for the money I would still buy my 2215 again and just add a wifi card.

I will be hard pressed to adopt a replacement model.

I so agree with you. I have been very impressed with my h2215 (got it used) but IMHO its size, power, and function are great.

I strongly feel that HP fears lost new unit sales by offering SE for this and the H41xx / H43xx devices (thus why they are not) - but even at $50 a unit for the upgrade - I'm sure many happy H22xx/h41xx/h43xx owners would do it without question to offset the R&D cost make/perfect the SE ROM images simply because we love the size and power or these devices.

I plan on getting a hx4705 (because I am a power user) but I think I may keep the h2210 because of its size - time will tell and HP has to release the hx4705 for sale too ;)

If I'm not mistaken, my friend bought one from here and she found out that it is open box. She keep on calling them but to no avail.

Now she found out that the screen is not flat (as though there are some bubbles/newton ring etc).

Today's Fry's Electronics ad for the Dallas/Fort Worth area is listing the 2215 at $299.99 after an $80 instant rebate. Limit 1 per customer. No notations that it's a refurb unit like they sometimes sell.

I am not completely familiar with the Pronto but I don't think it can play video, music, GPS navigation, video games, internet, ... the list goes on and on.
I think if you are looking for something to sit in your living room, you don't want an iPaq, and if you want something to take with you, the Pronto will be useless.

I think you missed his point. The Pronto is a limited device (just a remote). The 2215 is a remote and so much more and can be had cheaper.
